THE ORIGIN OF ALETHEIA
Aletheia Farm, nestled on 68 acres of family land in the heart of Upstate South Carolina, was birthed out of really hard work and deep thought over our desire for our family to eat natural foods and fuel our bodies the way
God intended. This endeavor started a journey of tasting and seeing God’s goodness in creation and humanity.
Aletheia is rooted in an understanding that truth is something that we are to “taste and see”. It is a Greek term used over one hundred times in the New Testament of God’s Word. It is often translated as “truth” and denotes more of a truth that is lived or experienced rather than one we try to grasp or get our head around. It can also be described as the state of not being hidden, the state of being evident, or reality.
The truth of Scripture comes even more alive through tending to God’s creation. We particularly believe that regenerative agriculture is the way to go. Experiencing a seed growing into a productive plant, a baby chick growing and eventually providing daily eggs for your family, honey bees working hard to produce an amazing sweet treat, and livestock grazing in the pasture to one day feed your family can’t help but grow your gratitude
and awe over the reality of God as Creator and the fact that we get to share in and experience how He works and what He is doing.
There is great joy in not only experiencing the wonder of nature but in also sharing that experience with others. There is tremendous beauty in meals and time around the table with family and friends. Over the years,
hospitality has been a foundational pillar of our home. It’s a big deal to us. We’ve found that tending to God’s creation has only made our time around the table with people richer and more meaningful. Time around the table full of intention and substance gives opportunity to experience what we like to call “Aletheia Moments”.
At Aletheia Farm, we are happy to offer a space where many people can have these types of moments. Life is full of reasons to gather and celebrate. There are many memories to be made. Having a gathering space to do so is nice. We’d love for you to consider our space when planning your special occasions. We hope you would find our property as peaceful and life-giving
as we do.
